Cast iron gutters to roof

Cast Iron Guttering

Cast iron gutters were once hugely popular and were once installed on almost every period property. With the widespread use of Upvc plastic it became obsolete.
However there has been a resurgence of cast iron guttering in recent years partly due its aesthetic appeal.

Seamless aluminium guttering - no joints

Aluminium Gutters

Aluminium roof guttering can be formed on site with a seamless extrusion machine or a more rigid form of the gutter can be manufactured and sold through specialist trade stores or online.
Seamless aluminium guttering has a powder coated finish and as there are no joints in the gutter length the possiblities for leaks are reduced.

Not all gutter guards are worth the investment so we have compiled some more information on the most popular products:

  • The Gutter Brush is a new product designed for both diy and trade installer.
  • Traditional gutter protection is given a frosty overview in our guttering mesh page.
